5 health and wellness benefits of sauna
  • Detoxifies the body – heat opens the pores of the skin and removes harmful substances.
  • Improves blood flow.
  • Increases the body’s resistance to colds.
  • Has beneficial cosmetic effect on the skin – regular sauna usage strengthens and heals the skin.
  • Year-round opportunity to do something for your health – especially in winter when your body loses heat.
Finnish sauna

The benefits of a sauna on the body are multifaceted. Due to high temperatures (from 60 °C to 110 °C, minimum air humidity 10 – 30%) there is a considerable blood flow to the skin. It significantly regulates blood pressure (people with higher blood pressure must use a sauna very carefully) and body temperature increases on average by 1 – 2 °C.

Increased blood flow and intense heat can improve the mobility of muscles and joints, or reduce pain. Higher temperatures increase the activity of the sebaceous glands when toxins are flushed out of the skin, which is of essential cosmetic importance. The sauna is one of the most versatile hardening procedures and is also important in the prevention of various cold-related illnesses.

Benefits: relaxation, recovery, strengthening the immune system, overall physical and mental well-being.

Bio sauna

A bio sauna or aromatic sauna is a combination of a Finnish sauna and a steam room. It is recommended for people who do not tolerate higher temperatures in a classic sauna or who find the high humidity of standard steam saunas uncomfortable. The main difference between a Finnish sauna and a bio sauna is that a bio sauna is heated to a lower temperature with a humid atmosphere. With a higher relative humidity, the bio sauna resembles a milder steam room.

Benefits: relaxation of body and soul, increased skin blood flow, detoxification, regulation of blood flow, positive effect on the upper respiratory tract.

Did you know?

Swimsuits are made of synthetic materials and most of them are designed to withstand standard summer temperatures up to 50 °C. Above this emperature, very harmful substances are released from synthetic swimsuits. As the pores in a sauna expand, these substances enter the body. However, they do not only affect the person in the swimsuit; they also remain on the seats and disperse through the air.

Infrasauna

Infrared saunas are alternatives to traditional saunas. Instead of steam or flame-stoked heat, infrared saunas use infrared lamps and electromagnetic magic to create warmth. The process allows infrared saunas to operate at a lower temperature while still providing therapeutic benefits. It is necessary to use it for approximately 25-30 minutes to warm up the body. The main difference compared to a traditional sauna is that the infrared rays penetrate deep into the tissues. Sweating is more intense and there is no overheating of the surface of the skin with warm air. As a result, toxins dissolve and are washed away by sweating, pores are unclogged and dead cells are removed. Body energy consumption increases and fat is broken down. Regular use of infrared saunas can help with weight loss and cellulite problems.

The immune system is strengthened, so the body becomes more resistant to colds and physical and mental stress. Infrared deep heat can be useful in the treatment of rheumatism, arthrosis, arthritis, skin problems and can reduce problems with heart and blood pressure. After using it, you feel rejuvenated and perfectly rested. An infrared sauna can bring the body and soul into a state of harmonious balance.

Benefits: regulation of blood flow, strengthening of the cardiovascular and immune system, detoxification, stress and fatigue relief, cellulite reduction.

Steam room

The temperature in the steam room reaches 60 °C, so the humid air has a positive effect on the skin, which is heavily perfused and intensively cleansed, thus remaining velvety soft. The steam room also has positive effects on weak blood vessels, clots and respiratory diseases.

Benefits: prevention of body weakening and diseases, improved blood flow, cleansing and firming of the skin, detoxification.

Salt cabin

The salt cabin with a constant temperature and relative humidity of the saturated air helps clean the bronchi and reduces inflammation of the mucous membranes. These properties of the salt cabin can help in the treatment of respiratory diseases. The use of the cabin is also recommended for healthy people. Regular use of the salt cabin, rest and relaxation stimulate respiratory activity.

Benefits: support in the treatment of respiratory tract, allergies, strengthening the immune system, increasing the quality of sleep, increasing resistance to stress and stress, detoxification.

Jacuzzi

Today water treatment is still used for various diseases, especially for the recovery of the body and soul. The hot water massage bath brings pain relief and improves flexibility and coordination of the limbs. Great importance is given to the recovery of injured or overexerted muscles in water in the form of a water massage, or simply by immersion in hot water.

Hot water along with a body massage support blood flow and the activity of the lymph nodes. Flowing water lightens the body and decreases tension in most muscle groups. The body gradually enters a state of complete relaxation.

Benefits: relaxation, regulation of blood flow and lymph nodes, recovery of muscle tissues, total physical and mental relief.

Cool dip pool

Cooling the body after a hot sauna is an essential part of hardening the body. When immersed in the pool, blood vessels constrict and blood pressure increases, which literally acts as vascular gymnastics. After cooling, there is a pleasant feeling of relaxation.

Benefits: recovery, relaxation, strengthening the immune system, overall physical and mental relief

Relaxation room

A relaxation room is also part of the Sauna World. A pleasant temperature and relaxing music will help you to achieve complete relaxation.

Sauna Ceremonials

The sauna ceremony is an intense experience that is not only good fun but also increases the beneficial effects of the sauna itself. The sauna ceremony takes place in the Finnish sauna, usually in three cycles. The sauna master pours stones and swirls hot air so as to increase the required humidity and induce a feeling of greater warmth. Later, he is individually dedicated to each visitor and with the help of a towel, he creates a ´thermal shock´ that warms the body even more. Various essences and peeling salts are often used during the ceremony and pleasant music is a matter of course. The whole ceremony lasts around 10-15 minutes.
